Denmark, Silas Named SWAC Soccer POW's

Grambling, LA --- The Freshman-Senior combination of Dominique Denmark and Cherie Silas was named Southwestern Athletic Conference soccer defensive and goalkeeper of the week respectively.
Denmark led a Lady Tigers’ defense that pitched a 2-0 shutout over divisional and in-state rival Southern last week; while Silas held Southern scoreless registering three saves in 90:00 minutes of play.
The shutout was Silas’ second of the season. She’s currently second in the SWAC in saves, averaging 9.50 a game.
