GSU Anthony Continues to Receive Accolades

Grambling, LA--- Grambling State Tigers defensive end, Christian Anthony, was named Southwestern Athletic Conference defensive player of the week as well as The Sports Network FCS National defensive player of the week following his play in a, 47-33, win over Texas Southern last Thursday night on ESPNU.
Anthony proved to be a one man wrecking crew as he dismantled a TSU offense and personally accounting for three turnovers. Anthony recorded five tackles (three solo) two of which were for a loss of yardage including a sack. He also had two forced fumbles, a fumble recovered for 24-yards and an interception for 33-yards.
Anthony is a member of the 2009 Buck Buchannan Award watch list.
