Tigers Netters Remain Undefeated After Day I of SWAC Round UP

Baton Rouge, LA --- At the close of Day I of the 2009 Southwestern Athletic Conference Tennis Round up the Grambling State Tigers Men’s team emerged undefeated in conference play.
In game one the Tigers posted a 5-1 victory over the Jaguars of Southern University, with a 5-1 win over Prairie View A&M.
The Tigers will return to action Saturday afternoon when they take on Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the “Battle of the Unbeatens” as only one team will emerge undefeated in conference play.
In women’s tennis the Lady Tigers went 1-1 on the day dropping their first match, 5-2, to Southern while taking a, 5-2, victory over Prairie View. They too will return to action tomorrow morning when play resumes at 9:00 am.
