Grambling, LA---82 student-athletes reported to campus today as the Grambling State Tigers football team prepare for the opening of their fall 2010 campaign.
The G-Men began to check into dorm rooms mid afternoon after a morning of heavy down pours in the area. Following dinner the Tigers assembled for a team meeting where they met various officials, the athletic trainers and completed paperwork.
The team will open practice by having conditioning drills tomorrow morning at 7 am, before holding their first full practice Sunday morning at 9 am.
“First thing first is to see what type of shape they are in when they get here, who really worked hard during the summer,” said Head Coach Rod Broadway. “We have a good idea of who did what and are pleased for the most part.”
The Tigers will kick-off their season September 4th when they host the Bulldogs of Louisiana Tech in the inaugural Port City Classic in Shreveport, LA.
