Grambling, LA ---The Grambling State University Women’s Basketball program held the 2010 Tiger Tots basketball camp on Thursday, August 5th at the Intramural Center, on the campus of Grambling State.
The camp drew 12 kids – six boys and six girls, ranging from ages four – nine-years old. The kids were mentored by GSU women basketball coaches. The campers concentrated on the fundamentals of basketball: dribbling, passing, ball handling skills, shooting and team play.
Lady Tigers Head Coach Donnita Rogers stated, “We had a good mixture of boys and girls at half and half and you really couldn’t ask for more.” “Next year, we should double the numbers,” Coach Rogers added.
The campers were awarded certificates after the completion of the camp. Coach Rogers stated “I challenge any parent to find a better, quality camp for $10 in the area.”
