GRAMBLING---The Grambling State Tigers football staff welcomed 90 student-athletes to campus today as the 2011 football season kicked off with the opening day of preseason camp.
The Tigers day consisted largely of checking into dormitories, picking up meal plans and equipment and meeting with the training staff. The day concluded with a general orientation meeting which included components from Interim Athletic Director
Aaron James, Compliance Coordinator Cliff Huff and Sergeant Freddie Peterson of the GSU Police Department on safety on campus.
The G-Men will get things going in earnest tomorrow morning at 6:00 AM for conditioning before their first practice session tomorrow evening.

GSU Fan Appreciation and Media Day is set for Saturday, August 20th at the Tigers practice field immediately following the Tigers football scrimmage at 10:30 AM.
