Grambling, LA (November 7, 2012) – The annual Grambling State University (GSU) fall baseball series continued on Tuesday with the Gray team winning another squeaker by the score of 5-4 over the Black team to take a 2-0 lead in the series.
The Gray team took advantage of three costly errors by the Black team, while Junior
Zach Moreau pitched five innings for the Gray team giving up three runs and striking out four batters.
Junior shortstop Juan Bueno was 2-3 from the plate for the Black team and made two tremendous plays on defense in a losing effort. “This was an exciting game”, said GSU Head Baseball Coach
James Cooper. “It's a must win situation for the Black team if they want to win this series. “They have to come out with fire and cut down the number of errors.”
With the series now 2-0 in favor of Gray, play resumes with game three at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday night at Wilbert Ellis Field at R.W.E. Jones Park.
